After weeks of links between Chelsea and Inter star Fredy Guarin, there are new reports that Manchester United could step in.
Colombian international Guarin has emerged as one of Chelsea's primary transfer targets and there have been frequent reports of a dialogue between Inter and the West London club.
Inter's owner Erik Thohir is looking to make his mark on the squad with a number of names mentioned as possible new recruits, but he will need to free up some capital and the sale of Guarin would do just that.
But with Chelsea completing a deal for Nemanja Matic instead, it has been suggested that Manchester United could step in for Guarin.
Although these are still extremely early days, the interest of another of Europe's top clubs would be of great interest to Guarin who is already considering a move to England.
Man United are on the lookout for a midfielder and have been linked to Juventus' Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal amongst others, but Guarin is probably a more realistic target as his club are willing to consider selling him.
