A round up of the latest transfer stories about Chelsea this morning.
Chelsea have been dealt a blow to any hopes of signing Southampton defender Luke Shaw.
The Blues have been linked with a potential £20 million move for the teenager this month but Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino has said none of his players are for sale this month.
“It's clear that Luke Shaw has a contract. I want to make one thing clear – no-one is for sale at Southampton. No-one,” he told a packed press conference.
Chelsea are thought to be leading the race with Arsenal to sign Atletico Madrid star Diego Costa.
The 25-year-old has scored 23 goals in his last 22 matches and has been linked with several top European clubs.
The Daily star has suggested the two London clubs are in the best position to sign the prolific front man.
Latest reports are linking Chelsea star Michael Essien with a move to Turkish club Galatasaray.
The holding midfielder could move away from Stamford Bridge this month following the arrival of Nemanja Matic from Benfica.
It means a potential reunion with former Chelsea star and club legend Didier Drogba.
