Arsenal legend: I'd rather watch Manchester City

Arsenal legend Martin Keown admits Manchester City are the one side he would watch over the Gunners if he had to make a choice.

Manchester City are the Premier League's top goalscorers, and rattled five past Blackburn Rovers in an FA Cup replay earlier this week.

Arsenal remain a side you cannot take your eyes off, and a struggling Fulham may well fear the worst when they visit The Emirates this weekend.

Yet City's form is so good, that even one of Arsenal's former stars has admitted he would rather watch them - if he had to choose.

Martin Keown was posed the question yesterday in his Tackle Keown column for The Mail, answering:

"I'd have to say Manchester City. They are scoring goals for fun."

Keown though displaying a sharp presence of mind, backtracked slightly by saying his ideal match would feature both sides.

"So long as it's a ticket for March 29. Manchester City at the Emirates. And I'm in the home stands. It could be a title decider and has the makings of a cracking match."

It may be a couple of months off, but Keown isn't the only one looking forward to it.

When City took on Arsenal at the Etihad last month the match featured nine goals, and The Gunners will be out for revenge.

City are showing signs of getting over the away form which blighted the early part of their season, but a trip to Arsenal will be the acid test.

There are not many neutrals who would disagree with Keown right now, City are the hot ticket in the Premier League, and their upcoming clash with Barcelona in the Champions League is mouth-watering.

The challenge for Arsenal is to show a more ruthless edge heading into the second half of the season.

Cardiff almost escaped from The Emirates with a draw on New Year's Day, Arsenal needing a couple of late goals to see them off.

A demolition of Fulham at the weekend is a perfect chance for them to lay down a marker and claim to why they should be the must-see in the Premier League.
