Arsenal have made enquires as to the availability of Juventus attacking midfielder Sebastian Giovinco but there's no chance of a January transfer according to the player's agent.
Giovinco is going through a tough spell in his career. The diminutive Turin native was one of Juventus' most exciting prospects and a lot of hype surrounded him when he made his debut for the Old Lady during their spell in Serie B in 2007.
But at the age of 26, Giovinco has only shown glimpses of the heights he was tipped to reach and he now cuts a peripheral figure at Juventus.
Arsenal have been strongly linked with Giovinco with some sources suggesting the Gunners are readying an offer, but the player's representative has poured cold water on that idea on several occasions, this time seemingly definitively.
"There was a request for information," Claudio Pasqualin told Calcissimo.com. "But that is far from negotiations.
"It's logical that interest from a club of Arsenal's level is flattering and makes you proud but I repeat that at the moment there are no talks between Juventus and the Gunners.
"Is it possible that Giovinco could leave the Bianconeri in January? Absolutely not, you can rule that out."
Arsenal could return to the subject of Giovinco in the summer when he may be ready to leave Turin if his situation in the pecking order hasn't changed.
