Striker Robin van Persie has ‘backed’ David Moyes to succeed at Old Trafford.
"Moyes needs time, he's new," said the Dutch ace. "The manager is our leading man and he will change things around."
"We lost too many points this year, but we are doing everything we can to change that."

In transfer news, United midfielder Anderson has travelled to Italy to complete a move to Fiorentina, according to the Daily Mail. The Brazilian is expected to sign on loan to the Serie A side after completing a medical.
Meanwhile, United ‘target’ Everton Ribeiro’s agent claims a bid has been made for the 24-year-old Brazilian. However, the club of the ‘unsuccessful bid’ presented is as yet unknown.
"We did bring a 10million euro offer to Cruzeiro for Everton Ribeiro but we won't reveal the club in order not to affect the negotiations, after all they are in the middle of their season,” stated his agent Robson Ferreira.
United also continue to be linked with midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who has yet to resolve his future at Borussia Dortmund, as reported in The Mirror, as both the Premier League champions and Real Madrid consider the German international.
The same source also links David Moyes with interest in Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik after the boss was spotted in Naples on an assumed scouting mission this week.
However, Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has ruled out a return to United, following speculation he could be a transfer target, according to The Independent.
