Some of the latest transfer news and more surrounding Liverpool Football Club this Thursday morning.

Liverpool have been offered Ajax winger Ricardo Kishna according to the Daily Mirror, with Premier League rivals Manchester City also offered the services of the 19-year-old.

The report says that Kishna is trying to negotiate a new deal with Ajax with only a few months remaining on his current deal.

The Daily Star is reporting that Liverpool could try and capitalise on the current problems at Southampton by putting a bid in for striker Jay Rodriguez.

Rodriguez has scored eight goals so far this season, and the report indicates he could be open to a move if the club’s current predicament means manager Mauricio Pochettino will leave the Saints.

Fabio Borini has said he would like to return to Liverpool according to The Times.

The Italian striker is currently on loan at Sunderland and is quoted saying: ‘It would be nice to go back there as a Premier League player and to have shown them that, even in a hard situation, I can do well.

‘I’ve achieved one of my big objectives here at Sunderland of playing every week, but to play for big teams like Liverpool, you don’t just need to perform well.’

Elsewhere, Liverpool could have a fitness boost ahead of the weekend’s game with Aston Villa with both Mamadou Sakho and Joe Allen returning to the side.

The duo picked up injuries in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge towards the end of December but could both feature against Villa.

Jon Flanagan is expected to be fit enough to return to the side next week for the FA Cup trip to Bournemouth.

Finally, Liverpool’s youngsters progressed to the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup after a 3-1 win over Aston Villa at Langtree Park in St Helens.

Goals from Daniel Trickett-Smith and a brace from Welsh youngster Harry Wilson were enough to secure their place in the next round.
