Who were Everton, Arsenal, Man City and Spurs watching as Wigan defeated the MK Dons?

Four Premier League giants had scouts at the match between the MK Dons and Wigan last night.

Everton, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City all had scouts at the FA Cup game between the MK Dons and Wigan Athletic last night, but why?

Wigan secured a comfortable 3-1 win away from home and it’s likely that the representatives were there to watch players on either side so who might they have been keeping an eye on?

MK Dons

Ben Reeves (22 - Midfield) – The former Southampton star is now on a permanent contract with the League One side but he showed glimpses of potential and talent on various loan moves when he was with the Saints.

Daniel Powell (22 – Midfield) – Powell is one of the most versatile midfielders that the MK Dons own. He can play through the middle of the team or out on the right hand wing.

Wigan Atheltic

Nick Powell (19 – Attack) – If any of the sides were watching Wigan’s Powell last night then he could be very difficult to get hold of as a Manchester United player. He’s been outstanding this season adding another two goals to his tally last night.

James McArthur (26 – Midfield) – McArthur won’t be an unfamiliar name to fans of the sides represented last night. He’s one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Championship and someone who has already been linked with big money moves to Premier League teams.

Fraser Fyvie (20 – Midfield) – Fyvie was eventually replaced by Powell, which turned the game in Wigan’s favour but he has a lot of promise for a 20-year-old. He’s made just a few appearances this season but showed glimpses of potential and promise.
