Transfer news from Chelsea, West Ham, Fulham, Leicester City and Arsenal.
The deal that will see Nemanja Matic return to Chelsea seems to be just hours away from being made official. The central midfielder has been sensational ever since leaving the Bridge as part of a deal to bring David Luiz to London.
The deal, said to be worth £25 million and the loan signing of Gael Kakuta, will be done as soon as the giant midfielder completes his medical today.
Expect confirmation at any moment.
Carlton Cole has signed a new contract at West Ham United - keeping him at the club until the end of next season.
The Hammers let him go in the summer - but after Andy Carroll suffered a serious heel injury they re-signed the striker in October.
He has since gone on to score four goals in 11 Premier League appearances - and earned a prolonged reprieve at Upton Park.
Meanwhile West Ham have further strengthened their attacking line-up - by signing the giant striker Lacina Traore from AS Monaco on loan.
The 6ft 8ins Ivorian only arrived at Monaco from Anzhi Makhachkala last week but has wanted regular football ahead of the World Cup.
Staying with The Hammers, who are having a busy day, they are said to be furious with Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen for ‘tapping up’ Ravel Morrison.
An approach from Fulham was rejected yesterday.
Fulham have also missed out on Liam Moore. The Leicester City defender was reportedly the subject of a £2 million from the club - a bid that has been apparently flat out rejected by The Foxes.
It is not yet known if they will return with a fresh and improved offer.
Meanwhile Fulham have confirmed Bryan Ruiz has left the club on loan. He has joined PSV Eindhoven until the end of the season - as he seeks regular football ahead of the World Cup in the summer.
Finally and on to Julian Draxler. Arsenal have been heavily linked with the international darling of Germany and today has been no different.
