Torino: Cerci is not for sale

Torino chief Urbano Cairo states that he has no intention of selling star man Alessio Cerci despite alleged interest from Juventus and Manchester United.

Alessio Cerci is attracting attention from clubs all over Europe but Torino owner Urbano Cairo is adamant that he isn't for sale.

The winger has netted nine times so far this season for Torino and is the main creative attacking threat for the Granata.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be keeping an eye on Cerci and Torino have a history of having to sell promising talents.

While Cerci has pledged his immediate future to Torino, he has refused to commit beyond this summer.

Yesterday it was reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport that Juventus were progressing towards signing Cerci by offering £4m plus Sebastian Giovinco and full rights to Under-21 striker Ciro Immobile.

But today it was Cairo's turn to talk to the pink newspaper and he rejected those reports, stressing there had been no move nor would he welcome talks.

"We haven't received any offers from anyone, Juventus included," Cairo insisted.

"Alessio has always been sincere and realistic and he isn't a hypocrite. As for as I am concerned he isn't for sale but a lot also depends on him.

"If in the future he wants to consider offers from big and rich clubs then of course we will talk again. I don't want to put a price on Cerci right now though as I have never thought about selling him."
