Manchester United’s search for new players this January is yet to herald any new faces, with David Moyes thought to be monitoring a host of players from across the continent.
One name that has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Old Trafford is Nicolas Gaitan, whose future at Benfica seems up in the air.
The Argentina international winger is believed to be eager to try his luck in another country, with plenty of suitor ready to take him off the Portuguese outfit’s hands.
With United monitoring the situation, a big-money bid for Paris Saint-Germain for the South American is on the cards according to reports in Portugal.
Although a central midfielder remains the priority for the Premier League champions, there is certainly an argument to suggest that a new inventive winger like Gaitan could reinvigorate their attacking game.
Whether United would be willing to go head-to-head for Gaitan against PSG remains to be seen, with the Argentine looing likely to leave the Estadio da Luz in the near future.
