You knew Serge Gnabry had really made it, when he 'earned' his first transfer rumour away from Arsenal earlier this month.
Borussia Dortmund were linked with bringing back the winger to Germany - but the player gave the news short shrift.
He wrote on his Facebook page: "BvB? I'm happy in Arsenal. Thanks for the support!"
There continue to be important figures in his homeland who are impressed with him however - talking up his World Cup chances.
The latest is none other than Germany coach Jogi Loew's assistant, Hans Flick.
He told Bild: "His development is impressive. In the U19, he is an important player, everything else will be seen (in the future).
"The talent of the A-team is very well staffed, our quality is in all positions is high. But the door is not closed - and that applies not only to him. "
"If a player now plays a dominant second half and we in this position have exactly one vacancy, there is a window of opportunity."
The inspiration is there for Gnabry to kick on, Arsene Wenger has already said he believes he can do it.
At Arsenal there is a 'window of opportunity' with Theo Walcott's injury. If Gnabry can fight off Oxlade-Chamberlain to win that spot, a place in the German national side could well be his too.
