Juan Mata is unlikely to move to Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich according to Jan Aage Fjortoft.
Juan Mata will not be moving to the Bundesliga according to Bundesliga expert Jan Aage Fjortoft.
There have been very recent rumblings that the Spanish midfielder is a target for Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich but Fjortoft, according to the Bundesliga Latest Twitter feed, denies that a deal will happen.
Regardless of the fact Mata remains a very important player for Chelsea, he’s continuously linked with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge as he’s not been able to nail down regular first team football this season.
It’s no surprise that there are so many apparently interested parties because Mata has all the skills needed to be a successful number ten or to play productively in a slightly withdrawn central midfield role.
Teams from England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany have all been linked with potential moves for him but on this evidence, it’s not going to be the latter unless Borussia Dortmund moved for him should they lose Marco Reus or Ilkay Gundogan in the summer.
Translated the Tweet reads; ‘According to @JanAageFjortoft Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata will not be moving to the Bundesliga’.
