Samir Nasri learned some bad news this week, that he would be out for eight weeks with an injury sustained against Newcastle.
The Frenchman will miss both Champions League games with Barcelona, a personal blow as much as it was to the team.
Nasri had revealed that he feels Manchester City have the beating of Barcelona, who he considers past their prime.
He had featured with Arsenal against them previously in the knockout stages and saw his side beaten.
He told Bein Sports this week: "Barça is not as strong as three years ago, when I faced them with Arsenal. It was at its peak at the time, with Pep Guardiola.
"I think today they are beatable. Defensively it is not the same Barcelona. Even in the midst, Xavi is a little older. I hope we can beat them.
"In any case I believe it, I've got a better team with me and they are less strong."
Nasri, sadly for him will not get to test his theory first hand, and will have to rely on his 'better' teammates to prove him right.
