Manchester United transfer news: Premier League side linked with Nani and Vidic could stay

A select round-up of transfer news relating to Manchester United

The Daily Mail has been full of speculation surrounding Manchester United in recent days, much of it surrounding David Moyes’ reported scouting trip to Italy.

Their latest claims involve an audacious double-swoop for Paul Pogba and Arturo Vidal, with Moyes reported to have held high-level talks with Juventus’s Beppe Marotta.

However the story claims that Moyes will not be bringing in either player in January, having to wait for the summer for any move for Vidal and to attempt to convince Pogba his future is at the club he left just 18 months ago in somewhat acrimonious circumstances.

In other news, the Mirror reports that Moyes will offer Nemanja Vidic a new 12-month contract just days after he was linked with a summer departure.

Moyes is said to have no desire to lose the Serbian centre-back in a summer that will see the almost-inevitable departures of Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra on free transfers.

And finally, having been linked with a return to his former club Sporting Lisbon, Nani is now tipped for a switch to Craven Cottage.

The Metro claims Fulham are attempting to hijack his mooted loan move to Portugal, following the space in the squad made by the departure of Bryan Ruiz.
