A round up of the latest transfer rumours connected to Everton.
Everton have been linked with a move to sign Stoke City striker Kenwyne Jones. The Guardian has suggested the Toffees are interested in the centre forward and are prepared to offer a fee of around £1 million to make the deal happen. Stoke are reportedly holding out for nearer to £3 million.
Everton have also been linked with a move for Standard Liege’s Michy Batshuayi, with the Mirror reporting that a deal has hit a complication. Standard reportedly want to keep the player until the summer and have told the Toffees to pay the complete fee up front if they want the deal to happen.
The Daily Mail has reported that Everton target Fernando is ready to sign a pre-contract agreement with Serie A giants AC Milan. Roberto Martinez has previously been strongly linked with the £15 million rated FC Porto star but it seems Everton will miss out, with Milan likely to complete a deal this summer.
However, conflicting reports have suggested the player has decided to do a u-turn and stay in Portugal.
Everton have completed a deal for Republic of Ireland winger Aiden McGeady. The wide man has signed a four-year contract at Goodison Park from Russian team Spartak Moscow, providing useful squad options for manager Roberto Martinez.
In terms of players leaving, Nikica Jelavic has completed a move to Hull City. The Croatian winger attracted interest from West Ham United, Stoke City and Championship side Queens Park Rangers, but he’s revealed that Hull boss Steve Bruce talked him into the switch.
Turkish club Kasimpasa have reportedly entered the race to sign Everton defender John Heitinga. The Dutchman has been linked with a stay in the Premier League with both Fulham and Norwich City interested in him.
