Arsenal survived a late barrage to win 2-1 at Villa Park.

Here are five stats to digest from the fixture...

1) Arsenal made a staggering 57 clearances in total. The fifth highest in any game in the Premier League this season.

2) Aston Villa had five shots on target, with all five coming in the second half.

3) Per Mertesacker completed 100 per cent of his passes for Arsenal with teammate Laurent Koscielny completing 98 per cent.

4) Just one Aston Villa player completed a successful dribble all game, Fabian Delph, who was also at fault for the second goal. Arsenal substitute Kieran Gibbs made three.

5) Christian Benteke's goal for Villa was his first in more than 14 hours of football.
