Arsenal are set to hand second trials to Lithuanian youngsters Donatas Kazlauskas & Dovydas Virksas after they impressed at the club last week.
The two Lithuanian international youth stars trained with Arsenal’s under-21 side and had lunch with club boss Arsene Wenger, who appears to have been extremely impressed with what he saw.
Arsenal are set to talk with their parent club Atlantas Klaipeda today over the possibility of a second trial for Kazlauskas (19) and Virksas (16) as they try to earn a more permanent position at the North London club.
Word on the Arsenal Academy Twitter feed also suggests that a third trialist will arrive at the club along with Kazlauskas and Virksas, a 16-year-old centre back and holding midfielder who can’t travel at the moment due to injury.
It will be interesting to see how they get on during a second trial, as the Gunners will be looking for consistency and improvement on what they saw from the pair of them last week.
Remember and learn how to pronounce their names because you could be hearing a lot more about them.
