Juventus and Man United set for transfer talks this week

According to Tuttosport, Manchester United and Juventus directors are ready to discuss a number of potential transfer deals and will meet soon.

Manchester United manager David Moyes was present to watch Juventus' win over Cagliari and there are reports in the Italian press that the two clubs are ready to do business.

The presence of Moyes at the Stadio Sant'Elia didn't go unnoticed and there has been much speculation over which players he was observing.

At the same time, Juventus have been repeatedly linked with some Manchester United names over the last couple of months.

According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, the two clubs are now preparing to meet to see if any transfer deals can be agreed between them.

The paper claims that Moyes was watching a number of Juventus players against Cagliari - midfield star Paul Pogba, who United let go for free, known targets Claudio Marchisio and Arturo Vidal but also Stephan Lichtsteiner and Cagliari man Davide Astori.

Moyes quickly greeted Juventus director Beppe Marotta but there's said to be a longer, more definitive meeting between the two clubs set for later this week.

Juventus have their own targets to discuss in Manchester United's Portuguese winger Nani and defender Nemanja Vidic.

Nani has been on Juve's radar for some time while Vidic's contract expires at the end of the current campaign and many feel he will leave Old Trafford in January.

The exact date of the crucial meeting between the two sides in not clear, but if Tuttosport is to be believed then it will happen before the end of the week.
