Manchester United latest: Including Januzaj praise and transfer rumours

Januzaj And United Celebrate

News, views and rumours relating to Manchester United in the past 24 hours.

Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-0 on Saturday evening at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Antonio Valencia and Danny Welbeck.

United manager David Moyes praised Adnan Januzaj for his attitude and application.

"He's a really calm boy, he looks after himself in a great way. His father has really helped him a lot and because of that he's steeped in football. He works and he lives for it,” explained the boss.

"He practices every day and has that little bit of arrogance all top players have in their own way. They want to do something special. They want to take a player on. They want to try something.”

United legend and coach Phil Neville was spotted on a ‘spying mission’ in Spain, apparently scouting Saúl Ñíguez in action for Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

In transfer news, David Moyes is ‘keen’ on Chelsea midfielder Juan Mata according to reports in The Mirror.

The boss was also ‘caught’ watching a Juventus clash with Cagliari over the weekend, leading to speculation United could be preparing a move for Davide Astori or Arturo Vidal.

Meanwhile, United midfielder Anderson is ‘close’ to sealing a move to Fiorentina according to reports.

Whilst the Daily Star claims United are ‘closing in’ on a loan deal for Fabio Coentrao of Real Madrid.

Another la Liga star, Valencia playmaker Ever Benega is also linked with a move to Old Trafford.

In other news, Manchester United’s value has ‘plummeted’ due to their ‘poor’ performance so far this season.

"The poor on-field results have begun to take a grip that has cost shareholders of Manchester United just under a quarter of a billion pounds,” explained football consultant Keith Hall.
