The Gunners defender has stated that his team-mate’s operation went well and posted a picture of the pair on Instagram.

Theo Walcott’s injury against Tottenham in the North London derby win last weekend was a real blow for Arsenal, with the flying winger set to be out of action for the next six months.

The injury means that the attacker is a real doubt for England’s World Cup campaign in Brazil, while the Emirates Stadium outfit will have to fight for the Premier League title without the former Southampton starlet.

However, Keiran Gibbs has given the Arsenal fans something to smile about, as he posted a picture on Instagram of the England star in hospital after what he labeled a successful operation.

Ruptured knee ligaments have been the source of finishing plenty of players’ careers over the years, and Walcott will now undergo a strict rehabilitation process in a bid to regain his former abilities.

England fans will have their fingers crossed for a miracle recovery, while the Arsenal faithful want their attacker back for the start of next season.
