VIDEO: McGeady signs for Everton! Some magical highlights of Celtic's former wing wizard

Irish winger set to join for a small undisclosed fee from Spartak Moscow after four seasons in the Russian capital

Everton have made one of the biggest signings of this transfer window with the acquisition of former Celtic winger Aiden McGeady from Spartak Moscow, as confirmed by The BBC.

The Irishman, who won the Scottish Player of the Year award in 2008 joins earlier than expected after falling out with Spartak coach Valeri Karpin, and with his contract running out in the summer.

McGeady, who won four titles at Celtic Park as a youngster, is a quick and highly skilful wideman capable of dazzling the crowd and laying on assists for his teammates from either wing.

He should fit in well with an Everton team already employing good width in its attacking play, and with three other Irishmen at the club in Seamus Coleman, Darron Gibson and James McCarthy.

The winger has 3 goals in 63 caps for Ireland, and 13 goals in 93 games for Spartak.

Take a look at some of his skills in the video below, and look out for the McGeady spin coming to the Premier League in the near future:
