Transfer news from Chelsea, Manchester United, Hull City, West Brom and Everton.
Hull City are on the verge of signing Nikica Jelavic from Everton this weekend. Kit is believed the two teams have agreed a fee for the Croatian - who wants to play regular football ahead of the World Cup next summer.
The club and player will now discuss personal terms - while this is not believed to affect Hull’s plans to bring in Shane Long of West Brom, who will continue to be a target.
Any deal for either player would reportedly be a club record.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has refused to be drawn on the subject of Wayne Rooney. The Chelsea boss is still expected to have an interest in the player - carried on from making two bids for the striker in the summer.
But when asked whether they could move for the player this winter Mourinho stated:
"I don't want to speak about it. We play Man United in a few days. I don't think it's nice to speak about a Man United player. You have to ask him (Rooney). You have to ask the player. And Man United because Man United has a contract with the player that doesn't end at the end of the season."
Bacary Sagna’s future at the club has long been up for debate - and the plot thickened late last night.
It is now reported that one of the sides said to be interested in the French international right-back is now preparing a bid to sign the player in the summer. Sagna, whose contract is up for renewal in June, will reportedly be offered a £4.1 million deal, after tax, to join Galatasaray in Turkey.
It is believed that is more than he is currently earning at The Emirates - and it would also be a longer term deal than The Gunners appear willing to offer.
Manchester United are again being heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan this morning.
The German international is seen as the perfect option to reinvigorate United’s faltering midfield - and the box-to-box midfielder is reportedly a £24 million target for The Red Devils.
