Here is how Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace will line-up for this afternoon’s match at White Hart Lane:
Tottenham starting XI: Lloris, Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Rose, Lennon, Bentaleb, Dembele, Eriksen, Adebayor, Soldado
Subs: Friedel, Fryers, Naughton, Capoue, Chadli, Holtby, Defoe
Crystal Palace starting XI: Speroni, Mariappa, Delaney, Gabbidon, Parr, Ward, Jedinak, Bolasie, Puncheon, Chamakh, Jerome
Subs: Price, Moxey, O’Keefe, Williams, Bannan, Gayle, Guedioura
Injury crisis or not, Tottenham Hotspur are still challenging for a place in the top four and a win against Crystal Palace this afternoon could see them leap-frog both Liverpool and Everton.
Much has changed for both clubs since they met on the opening weekend, when Roberto Soldado thought he had laid down a marker for what was to come with his first goal on his Premier League debut.
But the men who took charge of both clubs that day are now long gone, and the Spaniard has failed to replicate his impressive La Liga record.
Tottenham are without a whole host of players due to injury, but their squad is such that they will still believe they can win this match. That being said, Tony Pulis has turned the Eagles into a very interesting proposition, and they have come as close as anyone to doing the impossible and preventing Manchester City from winning at the Etihad.
An unbeaten league start for Tim Sherwood proves a change was needed, although he must ensure that change in form is not temporary.
Palace could climb out of the relegation zone with a win. But they would surely settle for a point at a tough ground to visit.
What do you think today’s result will be?
