Arsenal transfer news: Morata agent was 'in London', Sagna offer and €10m striker 'will not leave'

All the latest news and gossip from The Emirates this morning.

Bacary Sagna’s future at the club has long been up for debate - and the plot thickened late last night.

It is now reported that one of the sides said to be interested in the French international right-back is now preparing a bid to sign the player in the summer. Sagna, whose contract is up for renewal in June, will reportedly be offered a £4.1 million deal, after tax, to join Galatasaray in Turkey.

It is believed that is more than he is currently earning at The Emirates - and it would also be a longer term deal than The Gunners appear willing to offer.

It seems this deal may very well be on the cards.

Ready for another twist in the Alvaro Morata saga?

His agent was reportedly in London yesterday to discuss a potential loan deal in January.

The Spanish under-21 international is struggling for football under Carlo Ancelotti - but the Italian made it clear on Thursday night that Morata was going nowhere.

However, his agent Juanma Lopez was in London yesterday according to Spanish source AS. He was reportedly discussing the potential of a move to the Premier League with both representatives of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

This looks like one that’ll rumble on and on till Deadline Day.

Alexander Lacazette, who appeared as an Arsenal target in French media yesterday, has denied wanting to leave Lyon. Arsenal were said to be readying a €10 million bid for the talented striker, but despite this his agent David Venditelli has ruled out a move:

“It is true that we are in contact with several clubs and one of them came into contact with Lyon. Alexander will not leave Lyon, he will remain there at least until June."

Reports in Italy have suggested that AS Roma striker Mattia Destro is now in their crosshairs.

Destro is not currently a regular in the Italian capital - as he struggles to usurp Gunners’ flop Gervinho from the starting line-up.
