Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Frenchman to leave, American to come in?

A round up of key transfer stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Serie A side Napoli are interested in signing Etienne Capoue according to the Mirror.

Rafa Benitez is keen on taking the midfielder on loan over the second half of the season after an inconsistent start to his Tottenham Hotspur career.

The Mirror points to Tim Sherwood’s faith in youngster Nabil Bentaleb as a reason Tottenham may allow the deal to happen.

If that deal happens then a potential player coming in could be Roma’s Michael Bradley.

The 26-year-old is currently fighting with the likes of Kevin Strootman and Daniele De Rossi for a midfield place and could be open to a move to London.

Franco Baldini originally oversaw the deal which saw Bradley first going to Italy back in 2012.

Queens Park Rangers will make an attempt to sign Jermain Defoe on loan.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is thought to be keen on signing his former player as he closes in on a permanent switch from Tottenham to MLS side Toronto.

Redknapp is believed to want to offer Defoe regular football before he gets stuck into his £90,000 per week MLS deal.
