I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 10th January 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 10th January 2013…
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce gave Arsenal a stinging assessment of their decision to loan striker Marouane Chamakh out to the Upton Park outfit.
Chamakh had been something of a flop at Arsenal and the club and fans were happy to see him leave.
But Big Sam said:
“I think Arsene Wenger must've thought he's good enough for Arsenal and we'll play to his strengths. With Emmanuel Adebayor they used to cross balls so I don't know why they didn't for Chamakh.”
We wonder if that is how Sam felt when he played the Moroccan just three times - with the striker scoring no goals.
How about them crosses then Sam?
He has of course gone on to have an impressive campaign with Crystal Palace so far this term.
Knowing me, knowing you ... Zaha
Manchester were first reported to have tied up Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha to a deal - beating Arsenal in the process.
The fee involved was said to be in the region of £12 million and it was confirmed that the player would return to Palace on loan for the rest of the season.
In the end that did happen - but it was on the 25th January that Sir Alex Ferguson got his man.
However, under David Moyes, he has not been a feature in the United team and is expected to go out on loan a year later.
Levy and the Beast
Tottenham were said to be in talks with Alvaro Negredo. The club were short of strikers and Sevilla were looking to alleviate their financial woes with a big sale.
The Sevilla president reportedly flew into London to thrash out the deal - but of course that never happened.
Instead he ended up at Manchester City - where ‘The Beast’ has been in sensational form for the title chasing side.
