Swansea City transfer round up: Ince deal close and £200k King offer accepted

News, views and rumours relating to Swansea City in the transfer market this week.

The Guardian reports that Swansea are ‘confident’ of securing midfielder Tom Ince from Blackpool in a deal thought to be worth £4 million this month after the club opened talks earlier this week with the player.

The 21-year-old England youngster’s contract expires this summer as Cardiff and Crystal Palace are understood to be pursuing him with interest.

Meanwhile, Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has dismissed reports linking the club with Wilfried Zaha of Manchester United as ‘wrong’ as the youngster continues to be linked with a number of loan moves in the window.

However, Jenkins did confirm the club’s interest in Tom Ince but insisted the deal is not yet done.

“Whether we get any further with Tom Ince or other players remains to be seen,” he explained.

The Swans are also linked with Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling this week whom The Mirror reported could come in on loan from the Reds.

Scottish Premier League outfit Hearts have accepted a £200,000 offer for teenager Adam King from Swansea and the deal for the young winger is expected to be completed in the ‘next 48 hours’.

Elsewhere, Swansea are ‘keen’ on Benfica winger Ola John according to the Daily Mail but the Swans could face tough competition in the battle to sign the free agent from Liverpool.

Finally, boss Michael Laudrup is also reportedly ‘keen’ on Dundee United left back Andy Robertson according to the Metro this week.
