Erik Lamela and Lewis Holtby both scored in a 10-6 goal festival against Charlton Athletic in a friendly match earlier this week. A number of Tottenham's summer signings from 2013 featured, as Etienne Capoue continued his quest to regain 100% sharpness, while Nacer Chadli returned two goals alone, however, Jonathon Obika scored an astonishing six goals and no doubt claimed the match ball at the end.
Obika, 23-years-old, has failed to really push on in the senior Lilywhite selection but this six goal display will no doubt raise his name profile somewhat. Interestingly, just yesterday, the striker secured a three-month loan spell to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Brighton boss Oscar Garcia is quoted by the BBC to have said: 'Jonathan is someone we have been aware of for some time. It is known that we tried to bring him earlier in the season, but were not able to due to an injury, so we are pleased to have him here now.
'Our target was to bring an extra striker into the squad, alongside Leo Ulloa and Ashley Barnes, and as cover for Craig Mackail-Smith and Will Hoskins as they continue their respective comebacks from their injuries.'
Highlights of the 10-6 romp are below.
