Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is back in action, and here's the proof...
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has taken a major step back towards first team action by starting for Arsenal's under-21 side tonight.
He lined up for the fixture against a talented Fulham side, and was involved straight away, chipping a shot over the bar in the sixth minute.
Arsene Wenger confirmed today that the winger is in contention for a first team place against Aston Villa and is likely to travel with the squad.
He told Arsenal.com: "It is unbelievable because he played the first game of the season, against Aston Villa, and now he is back and available and it is against Aston Villa again. That makes it five months where has been completely out, so that means he is fresh and that should give us a boost."
We highlighted earlier in the week how the winger still has more Premier League assists than Spurs winger Andros Townsend this season, despite playing just 45 minutes of football.
