One of Arsene Wenger’s best qualities as Arsenal boss is his ability to take younger players, make them feel wanted and turn them into very important stars for the North London side.
He’s just demonstrated his approachable qualities with two Lithuanian trialists; Donatas Kazlauskas and Dovydas Virksas, who have been training with Arsenal’s under-21 side before having lunch with the boss yesterday.

Wenger has a very good scouting network at Arsenal, which allows him to constantly scan for new talent and his ability to speak multiple languages means he can have meetings like this with anyone coming into the club.
Kazlauskas is a 19-year-old winger who can play down either side of the pitch while Virksas is a 16-year-old who can play effectively through central midfield or down either flank.
Kazlauskas is a 19 year old winger (RW, LW), Virksas is a 16 year old midfielder (CM, RM, LM). Both Lithuanian.— AFC Academy (@AFCAcademy) January 7, 2014
Both players play for Atlantas Klaipeda with Kazlauskas having represented Lithuania at three levels of international football; under-18, under-19 and under-21 while Virksas has been playing for the under-17s at an age level above.
Wenger has a great history of taking players in similar situations and turning them into well established first team stars.
The best recent example is someone like Cesc Fabregas who came to Arsenal at a very young age, Wenger helped him settle in, learn the language and culture and he’s now rated as one of the best midfielders in Europe.
Any player who is good enough to get a trial with Arsenal and a lunch with Wenger must have something about him so keep one eye on those names as they could appear frequently this month.
