Paraguayan youngster Antonio Sanabria has become hot property since reports surfaced that his future didn't lie at Barcelona and Roma appear to have won the race for his signature despite Arsenal having been in pole position.
The 17-year-old has mostly been playing for Barcelona's B team since arriving at the Camp Nou in 2009 and has bemoaned a lack of first team opportunities.
Sanabria is also on a tiny salary at Barcelona in comparison to the amount Arsenal or Roma would be able to offer him.
The highly-rated marksman's agent admitted he was in talks with Arsenal just three weeks ago and a deal looked to be done, but Roma appear to have stolen him away.
Arsenal will be hugely disappointed to have failed to land one of football's most exciting up and coming stars and it represents a huge coup for Roma.
One of the major weaknesses for the Giallorossi this term has been the lack of an out and out goal scorer and Sanabria could fit the bill.
