Real Madrid coach speaks out over future of Arsenal, United targets

Fabio Coentrao, Alvaro Morata and Angel di Maria are linked or have been with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Any attempt made by Manchester United manager David Moyes to obtain Fabio Coentrao or Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to recruit Alvaro Morata will be made in vein as Real Madrid have no intention in allowing either of the fringe players to depart the club, according to manager Carlo Ancelotti.

With the long-term future of United's left back situation unclear and the uncertainty surrounding their ability to convince Everton into selling Leighton Baines, there has been suggestions that United could return for Coentrao, a player whom Moyes attempting to secure on a loan basis at the end of the summer transfer market window.

The knee ligament injury sustained by Walcott against Tottenham Hotspur recently prevents his participation in a competitive match-up for the rest of the season, Yaya Sanogo sidelined with a back injury and Nicklas Bendtner has no return date set following his recovery from a foot injury suffered during a goal-scoring celebration leaving Olivier Giroud in a race against time to regain fitness after succumbing to an illness.

Considering the lack of firepower at the Emirates Stadium, a forward was deemed to be a mandatory requirement, with moves for Morata, or di Maria, whom Wenger reportedly had on a three-man Real shortlist that included current Gunner Mesut Ozil and French striker Karim Benzema, both suggested.

Neither Moyes nor Wenger appear destined to do business with Real in the current window.

'I've not spoken with them because there's nothing,' said Ancelotti, as quoted by Sky Sports. 'No-one is leaving and no-one is coming in. We have a good squad. We don't need anything.'
