Canadian newspaper the Toronto Sun has reported Jermain Defoe has completed his move from Tottenham to MLS side Toronto FC. Tottenham themselves are yet to confirm the news.
The left-back has been linked with a move to Spurs from the Bernabeu – though in recent days the reports in many sections of the press indicate a move to Manchester United is more likely.
Ancelotti is quoted as saying over the issue of several Madrid players’ futures: ‘I’ve not spoken with them because there’s nothing. No-one is leaving and no-one is coming in.’

The Spurs boss said: ‘It’s been an abnormal time to take over, I would say, because there has been no breathing spaces from game to game and we have had a lot of injuries.

Spurs Academy have been playing in the Nutifood Cup in Vietnam and lost their second game of the tour today, a 2-1 defeat to Roma’s Under 21 side.
Academy Manager John McDermott said after the game: ‘There wasn’t much else we could have done today. I thought we performed very, very well in the second half and I was very proud of the way in which we played.’
