European transfer talk: Featuring Nainggolan, Sam and Sanabria

Schalke 04

Players previously linked with Liverpool, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, Manchester United, Chelsea and a former West Ham and Fulham player feature.

Sidney Sam, who has been linked with Liverpool, has finalised a deal to join Schalke 04. The German international has been one of the star players for the club this season - and indeed one of the best players in the Bundesliga.

But he has a release clause of just €2.5 million - which has teams from around Europe clambering for his signature.

However Schalke have won the race - tying him down to a four-year-deal starting next summer.

Schalke director Horst Heldt stated:

“We are delighted that he has decided in favour of the Royal Blues. He is very ambitious and wants to achieve a lot with Schalke."

Roma have finalised a deal to bring Radja Nainggolan to the club from Cagliari. The deal looked done yesterday - but a loan deal has now been made official. The Belgian international is set to join on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

He has previously been linked with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton - but could now be a Roma player for €6 million in the summer.

Roma also seem to have snapped up an Arsenal target in the form of Barcelona starlet Antonio Sanabria.

The teenage Paraguayan international has previously been a major target for The Gunners - with it even reported at one point that a deal was done.

However, it now seems he will be joining the Giallorossi.

Former West Ham and Fulham striker Mladen Petric is off to Panathinaikos. The striker, who was released by The Hammers just after Christmas, says his wife has always wanted to live in Greece and this was the perfect opportunity.

Borussia Dortmund and Atletico Madrid are being heavily linked with Liverpool target Mohamad Salah of FC Basel today. It is said that they join Zenit St-Petersburg, Wolfsburg, Galatasaray and many more in his pursuit.

Borussia Dortmund are also being linked with a move for Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira in the summer. The German international is currently out with knee ligament damage.
