A round up of transfer stories about Chelsea.
Reports suggest that Spanish club Atletico Madrid will not make a move to sign Juan Mata this month.
There were suggestions that the La Liga outfit would take Mata on loan for the second half of the season.
However, those suggestions are reportedly wide of the mark, which means Chelsea will retain one of their best players through a crucial period for the club.
AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has dismissed rumours of a possible move to Chelsea.
The former Manchester City man had been tipped to make the switch to play under manager Jose Mourinho for a second time.
“I am staying at Milan. I have to get ready for the World Cup and stay calm,” said the Italian striker.
Chelsea have confirmed they have sent youngster Kenneth Omeruo on loan to Championship side Middlesbrough.
The 20-year-old defender will spend time with the club for the rest of the season, as he seeks regular first team football.
“With the World Cup in June, it is important to have the chance of playing regularly. Hopefully I can help Middlesbrough fight for promotion - nothing is impossible in football,” he told BBC Sport.
