Ola John has been linked with a move to Liverpool in the past, and it appears that the Anfield outfit are once more weighing up a move for the winger this January.
However, Brendan Rodgers’ men are set to have some competition for the Dutchman’s signing, with both Swansea and Ajax eager to sign the Benfica man during the transfer window.
Dutch website AD.nl have stated that John is available for loan his month, as he has been on the fringes of things this season at the Estadio da Luz.
Since moving to Portugal in 2012 from Twente in a €9 million deal, John has failed to show his best form and has only featured seven times this season.
The once-capped Netherlands international is desperate for first-team football to keep his vague World Cup hopes alive, with a move to the Premier League potentially on the cards.
The report does speculate that a switch to his homeland and to Ajax may well be the preferred option for John.
