Tom Ince does not look like he will be at Blackpool much longer. His contract is up at the end of the season, and while the club are trying to get him to commit to a new deal, it appears he may be moving to pastures new.
Ideally, if Blackpool were to see him leave, they would want to sell him in January. After all, clubs may be tempted to put bids in now, to sneak ahead of those waiting until the end of the season.
If he joins a British club once his contract has expired then Blackpool will still be due hefty compensation due to Ince's age. However it would not amount to as much as the £8million bid that Cardiff had accepted last summer.
The worst case scenario is if Ince joins a foreign club once his contract is up. Then Blackpool would receive minimal compensation for his services. There are said to be numerous clubs in Europe interested in Ince, including Inter Milan, Ajax and now Monaco according to The Mirror.
Sources close to Ince have said that he is tempted by a move abroad to follow in the footsteps of his dad, Paul, who played for Inter Milan. Monaco could offer bigger wages than many other clubs and with their current resurgence in French football, and bigger plans ahead, it could be Ince's best option.
Ince is not the first English-based player that Monaco have been linked with. They have regularly been tipped to bring Patrice Evra back to the club and last month they were also linked with Tottenham Hotspur's Kyle Walker.
