A round up of key transfer stories about Chelsea this morning.
Chelsea will consider a swap deal to try and land Southampton’s Luke Shaw according to the Sunday people.
The paper suggests that the Blues will be willing to give up Ryan Bertrand to sweeten a deal for the £20 million rated defender.
Chelsea are one of the sides that have been linked with Shaw leading back to the summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinze Rummenigge has rubbished reports of interest in Chelsea’s David Luiz.
The Brazilian was being linked with a big money move to the German and European champions but Rummenigge has rubbished the speculation.
“There’s always lots of speculation and it’s extreme in England, but I can say for certain that he is not an issue for us. I personally hope that Holger Badstuber comes back (from injury),” he’s quoted in the Metro.
Napoli boss Rafael Benitez has taken a similar stance, suggesting he won’t move for Luiz or his fellow Chelsea star Juan Mata.
The former Blues boss has regularly been linked with moves for stars who played under him at Stamford Bridge last season.
“I am pleased with the squad we have - I read in the papers that we are close to a deal for Mascherano, David Luiz and Mata, but that is not true. It is very difficult to get players like that,” said Benitez.
