Relentless goal-scorer is 'not thinking about leaving' while Manchester United favoured playmaker will 'stay for many years'.
Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Caminero has attempted to create distance between two in-demand players from Vicente Calderon and their Premier League admirers.
Los Rojiblancos are currently gunning Barcelona all the way in the race for the La Liga title as they are tied at the top on 49 points after 18 matches, albeit with an inferior goal difference to the reigning Spanish champions.
The club would be understandably loathe to allowing their stars leave the Capital, yet both Arsenal and Chelsea have been speculatively-linked to 19 goals in 18 matches Diego Costa, while Manchester United have long been associated with Koke Resurreccion, who creates a clear chance every 34 minutes and produces an assist once every 159 minutes in the division.
As quoted by Marca, Caminero said that Costa - understood to have a £32m release clause in his contract - is not thinking about leaving: 'I trust that Diego Costa, who is matured and is intelligent, will make his decisions.'
He added: 'Right now Costa does not think about leaving. He has renewed with us, which is important. He has shown that he wants to continue with this club.'
Costa is responsible for scoring or assisting once every 65 minutes in all competitions for Atleti, a statistic that is not too far off Sergio Aguero (every 54 minutes) for Manchester City.
On playmaker Koke, Caminero said: 'He has improved considerably. Also he has reached the national team and that puts you in the spotlight and opens more eyes.
'Koke is going to stay many years, he has an Atletico heart.'
Koke is valued at £17.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk.
