£20m Manchester United target achieves stat Luis Suarez hasn't managed in 13 games

Manchester United transfer target Antoine Griezmann achieved a 100% shots on target rate as Real Sociedad beat Athletic Bilbao.

Reported Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann was one of the stand out performers as Real Sociedad beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 at home this weekend as La Liga returned following the winter break.

The £20 million rated Griezmann has been suggested as a possible alternative to Manchester United wingers Nani and Ashley Young at points this season and if he can replicate one stat in particular that he showed against Bilbao, David Moyes could be very interested in the summer.

That simple stat was every shot Griezmann had during the match against Bilbao was on target, which allowed him to grab a goal and to help his side keep pressure over their opponents.

To put that stat into context, it can be compared to someone like Luis Suarez of Liverpool, arguably the best attacking player in Europe so far this season.

Suarez hasn’t had a game where every single shot he’s had has been on target since Liverpool played Crystal Palace on October 5 last year.

It’s a rare stat for a player to be able to achieve and while Suarez is a million miles ahead in terms of goals, assists and all round quality, it gives a small glimpse as to what Griezmann is capable of and why United may try and get him to perform a u-turn over his Real Sociedad commitment next summer.
