VIDEO: Which Spurs players were to blame for Arsenal's goals?

Tim Sherwood’s men were beaten 2-0 by the Gunners on Saturday, but who needs to hold their hands up for the home side’s goals?

Arsenal progressed through to the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday, claiming the scalps of Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.

Despite promise from the visitors, goals from Santi Cazorla and Tomas Rosicky decided the game in the hosts’ favour.

However, who in the Tottenham side was to blame for the goals?

The first strike came after enterprising play from the right by Serge Gnabry, who drew the attention of two Spurs defenders before playing Cazorla in to score.

Michael Dawson’s lack of pace has been evident all season and although the Tottenham captain is physical and courageous, his flat-footedness if a problem the club need to address.

Kyle Walker repeatedly relies on his speed to get him out of tricky positions, but could do nothing to prevent Cazorla’s shot here as he was pulled inside to cover for Dawson.

Spurs are really missing the reassuring figure of Jan Vertonghen, who should be installed into the centre of the side’s defence once he returns from injury.

Arsenal’s second was comical. After a Tottenham corner, Danny Rose dilly-dallied on the ball and was caught by Rosicky on the halfway line, who race the length of the Spurs half to beat Hugo Lloris.

Although Spurs’ left-back had a poor afternoon and was certainly culpable for the goal, Roberto Soldado should not escape criticism either.

After the corner was cleared, the Spaniard was first to the loose ball. Instead of showing urgency to get the ball back in the box and maintain an attacking position, he meandered to receive possession and played the ball back to Rose in a lacklustre fashion, playing the defender into trouble.

Although Rose is the main culprit, Soldado is not guilt-free. This was proven by Sherwood’s decision to instantly withdraw the ex-Valencia man and bring on Nacer Chadli in his place before the game had even started again.
