Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Willian's performance: 'No wonder we don't play Mata'

Chelsea beat Derby County 2-0 earlier today, courtesy of goals from John Obi Mikel and Oscar, but it was another player who really shone.

When Chelsea paid a reported £30million for Brazilian Willian last August, more than a few eyebrows were raised.  While over at White Hart Lane, then-boss Andre Villas-Boas could only look on as a player he thought he had in the bag instead opted for Stamford Bridge.

But with every passing performance, the former Anzhi Makhachkala player is proving if not exactly a bargain then certainly money very well spent.

Willian set up Chelsea's first goal when he crossed for Mikel to head home, and his energy and creativity made him a constant menace for Steve McClaren's men.

The 25-year-old now has two goals and five assists for the season, but his recent performances suggest he could kick on and make the difference in the second half of Chelsea's campaign.

Following the FA Cup tie, we took to Twitter to see what the fans made of Willian's performance.  You can read a selection of them below:
