In 13 Serie A games so far this term, the Ivorian has scored four times and registered two assists, generally seeming like a different player to the one that struggled to put together a lengthy run of form during his time in north London.
But as if that wasn't enough, Gervinho has now been talked up by Roma captain Francesco Totti - who has compared him to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I had seen him two or three times at Arsenal but up close he is a beast," Totti is quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.
"If he also scored goals, he would be Cristiano Ronaldo and Roma would never have got him."
High praise indeed! All the 26-year-old "beast" now needs is 14 more league goals, nine Champions League strikes and a Ballon d'Or nomination.
Did Arsene Wenger miss a trick by letting the Ivorian go?
