Winston Reid and Mile Jedinak are two players somewhat unaccustomed to being included in all-star XIs, accept maybe Australasian ones.
The team was selected according to player ratings based on data compiled in association with Whoscored.com. Aaron Ramsey is selected as player of the season thus far, earning an average rating of 7.8 out of 10, while Reid, impressive before his November injury, is the top defender. Jedinak is surprisingly awarded the same score as Arsenal's German superstar Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal are the most well-represented side, with five players making the line-up. Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny takes the best goalkeeper in London title, while Kieran Gibbs is selected on the left of defence. Ramsey and Ozil take two of the midfield spots, alongside Jedinak, while Olivier Giroud is the best striker according to the stats.
Andros Townsend is the only Spurs player in the side, on the right wing despite losing his place recently to a combination of patchy form and injury. Reid takes the remaining spot in defence to be the Hammers' sole representative. No-one from Fulham made the cut.
