A round up of key transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.
Chelsea have reportedly seen a £50 million offer for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain turned down.
Speculation has been building over Chelsea’s interest in the nine goals in 16 games forward and according to some sources they have already moved over a deal.
If accurate, it would be a remarkable turnaround with manager Jose Mourinho recently saying that the club wouldn’t be spending big this month.
Bayern Munich and Barcelona have been told they will need to pay £35 million for David Luiz.
News broke yesterday that Barcelona were taking another look at the Brazilian as they try and add to their defence.
However, the Daily Mail has reiterated claims from earlier in the season that Jose Mourinho doesn’t want to lose the centre back and holding midfielder.
Kevin De Bruyne’s agent says the Chelsea midfielder would prefer a move to the Bundesliga.
The Belgian youngster has fallen out of the first team at Stamford Bridge, with several German sides thought to be interested in signing him.
“I think going away on loan wouldn’t be good for the player or the club. The footballer and his family would prefer a permanent solution because he’s already been on loan twice - His preference would be a move to the Bundesliga,” said Patrick De Coster.
