Neil Lennon will be hoping Joe Ledley and Georgios Samaras commit their futures to the club
Ledley and Samaras have proved to be key players for Neil Lennon's Celtic side over recent seasons, and it's not surprising that they have attracted interest from elsewhere.
Both players are in the last few months of their current contracts, although Lennon is hopeful they will both commit their futures to the club. Lennon has said: 'I need a spine to stay together, the likes of Scott Brown, Ledley, Kris Commons, Samaras – if we can get him – and a few others, because they have been big players for us'.
The Mirror has reported that Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is thought to be lining up a bid for Ledley, and the Welsh international could be tempted by a move to the Premier League. Samaras, however, has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. Hull City are also thought to be interested in Samaras, although the Greek international is thought likely only to leave Celtic for a team capable of winning trophies and competing in Europe.
The talismanic forward has shown on a number of occasions he can be a threat for Celtic in the Champions League and will have a lot of European admirers from those games. Samaras was linked with Barcelona earlier this season (He played against them four times in the Champions League in the last two years).
It will be an important couple of months for both players as they decide where their futures. Celtic fans can only wait - and hope.
