All the latest injury news ahead of Manchester United v Tottenham.
There's mixed news for the two teams ahead of the 17:30 New Years Day clash.
Wayne Rooney - Wayne Rooney is rated at 50/50 for the fixture with conflicting reports over his likeliness to feature. David Moyes confirmed yesterday the striker will undergo tests on his injured groin ahead of the game, and he is a possibility to play a role.
Robin van Persie - While not impossible that the Dutchman could make the bench, David Moyes admitted Van Persie is 'not quite ready' to feature. Having faced criticism over his handling of the striker, Moyes is unlikely to risk him with Danny Welbeck in such good form.
Phil Jones - Phil Jones is out of the game having picked up a knee injury ahead of the festive fixtures. The club stated six days ago he would be out of two weeks.
Rafael da Silva - Rafael limped out of United's win at Hull with a groin injury, and missed the win over Norwich with Chris Smalling in his place. His status for the Tottenham game is unclear and like Rooney, he could face a late test.
Nani - Winger Nani is ruled out of the game with a hamstring injury, and is not expected back until at least January 11.
Marouane Fellaini - Belgian midfielder Fellaini will not feature, having undergone a wrist operation which will keep him out for potentially all January.
Paulinho - The Brazilian midfielder will miss the match with an ankle injury inflicted by Stoke's Charlie Adam. Early reports say he will miss around four weeks of action. Etienne Capoue is likely to take his place in midfield.
Jermain Defoe - The striker could face a late fitness test to win a place on the bench for this fixture. Nursing a hamstring injury, his involvement is as yet unclear, with Tottenham's official website listing him as a 'doubt', while at the same time not ruling him out.
Jan Vertonghen - Vertonghen is another who will miss the fixture, at a ground where he scored in the 3-2 win last season. His foot injury is expected to keep him out until January 19.
Sandro - Midfield ace Sandro has a calf injury, but there is no clear return date set for him just yet. Tottenham's website has confirmed he is out for the fixture.
Kyle Walker - Right-back Kyle Walker is eligible to return to the side after missing the 3-0 win over Stoke with suspension.
