When Jose Mourinho came out and lambasted Luis Suarez for being a diver after Chelsea's win over Liverpool, it was inevitable the comments would come back to bite him.
Perhaps he didn't expect it to do so quite so soon, with Brazilian attacker Oscar yellow carded for 'leaving his foot in', during a penalty box coming together in the win over Southampton in the very next game.
Mourinho was quizzed about the incident after the match and did not shy away from it, criticising the Brazilian.
He said: "A good decision by Atkinson [to book Oscar]. Oscar deserved the card today."
At least he is maintaining some sort of consistency, privately he must be furious one of his players has put himself in this position so shortly after calling out Suarez.
Chelsea won the game 3-0 with goals from Fernando Torres, Willian, and Oscar.
