Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has no worries over the fitness of Mesut Ozil.
Speaking after the 2-0 win over Cardiff City, the Frenchman confirmed he expects the German to be back for their next Premier League game, against Aston Villa.
Wenger even added, as reported by Arsenal's official website, that the playmaker could even be in with a chance of making this weekend's FA Cup fixture, but that the Villa game is more likely.
"Ozil could be ready for Saturday. It is no big damage, just the pain now. I believe he will be short for Saturday and should be ready for Aston Villa."
There is likely to be a clear temptation for Wenger to play Ozil against rivals Tottenham in the cup at the weekend, but there is little need to risk him.
The squad have proved themselves capable of winning without him over the last couple of games against Newcastle and Cardiff, and it would be unwise to rush back their star player.
However it could be that Ozil features on the bench, if he continues to make positive progress from his shoulder injury.
The cup game will provide an opportunity for other players to state their case, including Santi Cazorla who is yet to find his best form so far this season.
Arsenal will certainly welcome Ozil back for the Villa game, as they look for revenge from the 3-1 opening day defeat as they travel to Villa Park.
A win would continue to underline their title credentials, but for now, Arsene Wenger and his men will focus on defeating their North London rivals this weekend, in all likelihood without the German.
