One decision Arsenal would change from 2013

As another year comes to an end, we take a look at the ONE decision Arsenal would change from 2013.

Arsenal have been in brilliant form in 2013 and look genuine title contenders going into 2014, so only praise should be shared about Wenger's business at the Emirates.

If there was going to be one change the club would make from 2013, it would be their lengthy pursuit of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Arsenal chased the Uruguayan international for several months, bidding large sums of money and once the asking price was established at much higher than the Gunners wanted to pay, they walked away from the table.

It didn't take Suarez long to get back into the swing of things in the Premier League and the 8 match-ban at the start of the season was nothing more than a head start for all the other Premier League strikers.

On the players Premier League return, it took him just 36 minutes to net his first of the season, and just before the final whistle he grabbed his second.

Since then it's been a constant stream of goals and assists that have thrown Liverpool into the thick of the title race, along with Chelsea, Manchester City and the team that so nearly signed him, Arsenal.

So, going back to the one thing that Arsenal would change from 2013? It would undoubtedly be fruitlessly fighting tooth and nail to sign the striker that on the face of it could have all but ensured them the League title at the end of the season. Instead, it's just created another contender for the crown, and their time could have been better spent focusing on signing a different striker instead.

Arsenal have been fortunate the form and fitness of Olivier Giroud has been exceptional, otherwise this failed  deal could have scarred them even more.
